Harrisburg, PA’s 5th annual Interfaith Program for Peace and Justice will take place on Monday, May 5 at the Pine Street Presbyterian Church across from the state capitol.  As in years past, the presenters will represent the widest swath of faith communities in the area, and I plan to add the voice of Yiddish to the other sounds of the evening.  I have chosen Avrom Reisen’s Dos Naye Lid for its universal embrace of hope and joy.  It’s an honor to find a little spot for Yiddish and its messages among the Buddhists, bell ringers, sacred dancers, and others.
